The pattern is called 'SCINDE" and was made by J&G Alcock, ca 1840. The plate outer rim is gently scalloped and is slightly panaled. The rim is outlined with scrolls and the border is printed with three groups of stylized dahlias seperated by branches of prunus blossoms. The center scene is dominated by a figure at a little left of center wearing a hat and carrying a large banner over his shoulder. The foreground contains a lake and rocks and a tall prunus tree that grows through an arch.
The reverse is marked under glaze with "Scinde". The overall condition of the plate is very good with some crazing due to age. The plate measures 13" in diameter. A very fine Flow Blue piece
