W T Copeland & Sons. Blue and White Jasperware Pitcher . This fabulous pitcher is 6 1/2" tall by 7" from handle to spout. It depicts a Tavern Scene in relief. It is in excellent condition. Along the top are relief molded sprig designs common to this manufacturer. Color is the true Royal Blue so familiar to collectors. The formula for Jasper, a dense white stoneware, was Josiah Wedgwood's most closely guarded secret. The mark is Copeland Spode. This a great addition to any collection. It comes from a private home collection and has never been in the marketplace.
