Early Villeroy & Bach Blue and White Charger - 1894

Chargers are rare in early blue transferware, and the size of this one makes it rarer still. It is 17" in diameter! This early blue and white Villeroy & Bach charger dates from the latter part of the 19th century and is in very good original condition. It shows the "Schloßplatz in Stuttgart" (park in front of the Stuttgart Castle) as it looked at the end of the 19th century. The drawing is hand painted. If you are looking for a rare and gorgeous early blue item, this is the one for you!
