This 19th century Wedgwood plate depicts the Landing of the Fathers at Plymouth, December 22, 1620. Pictured are Indians greeting Miles Standish. There is an inscription on the back by Bryant which reads: "Landing of the Pilgrims - They little thought how pure a light, with years, should gather round that day, how love should keep their memories bright, how wide a realm their sons should sway". This plate is near mint and is a great piece of American history.
