This Royal Doulton Dickens "Oliver Asks for More" Pitcher is done in high relief. The pitcher is based on the Dicken's novel Oliver Twist and features Oliver asking for more food. This series was introduced in two phases 1935 to 1937 and 1949 to 1953. The series was withdrawn by 1960. The top of the pitcher displays the name "Oliver Twist" while the words "I want some more" are visible on one side above his character. This piece measures approximately 6" high by 7 1/4" across the top including the handle. It is in AS NEW condition with not chips, cracks, repairs or crazing. A great piece of Royal Doulton. This is a very collectible series and it is in magical condition.
