Linen Mark 

 

A small, irregular, textured area made in the process of attaching a handle, found on the inside of some pewter porringer bowls and occasionally on other hollowware.

Luster

A glaze that employs metallic oxides to produce a shiny, metallic finish in copper, silver or pink tones.  It is typically used on porcelain, china and earthenware.
