Biscuit

Denotes items made of clay, earthenwares or porcelains, which have been fired only once and are unglazed.

Bisque

The same as “Biscuit” except it is almost always used to refer to unglazed hard paste porcelain rather than earthenware.

Bone China

A type of pottery composed of at least 50% bone ash, the calcined bones of animals.  It is translucent, but is not considered true or hard paste porcelain.  Bone china was invented by Josiah Spode I in the late 1700s.
